Election 2024

It'll be tough. The race will probably be close. The last time he was up for election, Grimes kept it within 3 points up until about a month before the election. She started falling in the polls when McConnell started running ads claiming she was anti-coal. Also, Grimes is from political family that has had some shady dealings, so she wasn't real popular, anyway(her dad is under indictment, now, for election shenanigans).
This time, McConnell is the one being portrayed as anti-coal. McGrath ran for the 6th Congressional seat in the last election(my district) and lost to a Republican, but she refused to air negative campaign ads-- that was probably what defeated her(she only lost by 3pnts) as her opponent aired mostly attack ads. McGrath probably has the best shot of defeating him as any candidate he has ever faced. She has a good chance, her war chest is full, and she has the backing of the national party.
She will win the metro areas by big numbers(Lexington, Louisville, and Northern Ky), and that is half of the electorate. If she can win the coal fields-- which are historically Democratic, but went for Trump-- she will pull it off.
Even though the election is a year away, she is running ads(see the one above) during all the news broadcasts(and the Cocaine Mitch ads are running heavily, too).

Many very GOP-leaning districts are actually a result of the existence of a court-ordered minority district. Not saying that is the case with him, but in Louisiana the second district congressional seat is made up of a majority of minority population areas in and around New Orleans. In order to reach a majority of minority voters for the second, the nearby first district and to an extent the third district have way less minority voters.

Wrap your gifts in style this holiday season, and support local efforts to defeat Moscow Mitch.

Also, the Cocaine Mitch ads, and McGrath campaign ads, are still running in heavy rotation across state markets even though the election is a year away. They seem to have expanded as now they are also seen during late night programing(along with the three news broadcast times).

Something I find especially hypocritical about McConnell, and I have wrote him about these concerns, is that he claims that his inspiration and model for a senate leader is The Great Compromiser, a man whose seat he hold, and the man who passed the Missouri Compromise. Clay would puke at the thought of a man holding up our country's interest for political gain. God rest his soul!

What's everyone's thoughts on the Dems so far? Who do you think it may end up being? Who do you like?
I think we're fucked to be honest. I like Warren and Klobuchar. I'd vote for whoever it is including Bloomberg but i think each one is going to have a hard time.
