Sometimes short trailers mean good movies??

Never actually a good sign for a movie, it seems that the sequel to Oliver Stone’s 1987 critically acclaimed Wall Street is getting the boot, once again. Originally slated for a February 2010 release, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps has officially been bumped from April 23rd to September 24th. In the Oliver Stone directed film, Michael Douglas revisits greedy businessman, Gordon Gekko -the role that landed him the Academy Award for Best Actor. Shia Lebouf co-stars, perhaps to help pique the interest of a new generation of moviegoers who, very possibly, have never even seen the first film.

I've never seen the original...the only thing I know about it comes from Hot Shots Part Deux, when Charlie and Martin sheen, both on Apocalypse Now type riverboat missions, pass each other and simultaneously yell "I loved you in Wall Street!".

Pretty smart move to push the release back . September is less crowded , hell if the stayed at that date the would be facing "Nightmare" in its second week then Iron Man 2.

Please give us your review when finished. It's one of my all time favorites from the 80's. Also, are you like me with your queue? I usually have that thing backlogged with over 30 movies. The Missus thinks that's odd, I just see a movie and add it, dunno what's so weird about it.

Do you believe that it's a "Bad sign" ?

Bad sign as in quality of the film wise? Maybe , Maybe not. Shutter Island was pushed back to. and was a very quality film. Up to a few years ago Films being moved around like this wear a sign of problems and no real faith in their money making now ... not so much.

30? Try 308, with another 10 in my "Saved" list for when they're released. Granted, about 15 things are multi-disc miniseries or seasons of a tv show, but there's a ton on there. Of course, I'll never get to it all, but I did join up for a good selection so I certainly can't complain. I figure it's easier to look through my list to find something than to try to pick without the list...so if it even remotely interests me, I put it on there.

That's why we should privatize social security. What better way to teach people to live within their means than by suddenly taking away 40% of said means?
