I've been watching these videos all night since they are just repeating themselves on the news.

It is the era we grew up in, that's why. I am glad I got to see him once even if I was just 9 at the time. I remember being SOOOOO excited and my friends were all so jealous. My Dad actually got the tix because he was the Northeast video manager for JVC at the time and they needed camcorders to do the arial filming and they gave them to my Pops as thanks for getting them in a pinch.

They reported that people are selling MJ tee shirts on the street in LA already.

The Sun newspaper, while quoting a hospital source, says Michael Jackson collapsed shortly after taking an injection of potent Demerol.

Link?

I also heard on CNN he had a personal physician there that tried to revive him but could not. You know that had to be serious if he had immediate care and still passed.

I've been in the entertainment industry since I was six-years-old... As Charles Dickens says, "It's been the best of times, the worst of times." But I would not change my career... While some have made deliberate attempts to hurt me, I take it in stride because I have a loving family, a strong faith and wonderful friends and fans who have, and continue, to support me. —Michael Jackson (2007)

I really couldn't fathom it at the time but I was super excited.

Mom just corrected me a little on the story though.

WPLJ (local radio station) was doing arial filiming from a blimp and someone stole the camcorders and Dad hooked them up. Man, I even had a gig shirt way back when and I must have thrown it out years ago.
